Apartments Near Convention Centre Dublin, Dublin 1

Serviced apartments within walking distance of the Convention Centre Dublin (CCD), Spencer Dock — purpose-built for conference delegates, exhibitors and corporate guests with multi-day events on the docklands. Better space, better value than docklands hotels.

Walk to the Convention Centre Dublin from your apartment

The Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) on Spencer Dock is Ireland's flagship purpose-built conference venue — 22 meeting rooms, a 2,000-seat auditorium, and one of the most distinctive buildings on the Dublin skyline. It hosts everything from medical and tech conferences to the European political summits, with delegate counts routinely running into the thousands.

EirStay's nearest properties cluster across the north quays, the Italian Quarter and the south Liffey, all a 10–15 minute walk to the CCD's front entrance. For multi-day conferences, an apartment with a kitchen and proper workspace is significantly more comfortable (and significantly cheaper) than a docklands hotel for any stay over a week — and you're walking distance to the venue, the IFSC, Trinity College and Grafton Street.

10–15 min walk

Our Italian Quarter, Jervis and Lombard apartments are all within a 15-minute walk of the CCD via the north or south quays.

Multi-day conferences

For a 3–5 day conference plus the surrounding nights, an apartment beats a hotel on space, kitchen and workspace — and our rates don't spike for major events.

IFSC on your doorstep

The CCD sits on the edge of the IFSC financial district — Citi, Deloitte, Accenture, KPMG and PwC all within a five-minute walk of the venue.

Beat docklands hotel rates

Spencer Dock and IFSC hotels run premium rates during major conferences and routinely sell out months in advance. EirStay rates don't move.

About the Convention Centre Dublin

The Convention Centre Dublin opened in 2010 as Ireland's first purpose-built international conference venue. Designed by Kevin Roche and instantly recognisable for its leaning glass cylinder, the building rises eight storeys above Spencer Dock with a 2,000-seat auditorium, two further large halls, 22 modular meeting rooms and an exhibition space totalling 4,500 m².

The CCD has hosted European political summits, the Web Summit's Dublin years, the European Society of Cardiology Congress, and a steady year-round calendar of medical, technology and corporate events. Its location at Spencer Dock places it on the edge of the IFSC and the docklands tech corridor, walking distance to most of Dublin's financial-services HQs.

Getting to the CCD from your apartment

From the Italian Quarter, walk east along Bachelors Walk and then the north quays for 10 minutes — the CCD is impossible to miss as you approach Spencer Dock. From the Lombard apartment at Grand Canal Dock, cross the Samuel Beckett Bridge for a 12-minute walk. From Wellington Quay, follow the south quays to the Beckett Bridge. The Luas Red Line stops at Spencer Dock, two minutes from the CCD entrance — useful for guests staying further afield. Connolly Station and the Point DART station are both 10 minutes' walk for inbound rail travellers.

Frequently asked questions

How far is EirStay from the Convention Centre Dublin? +

Our Italian Quarter apartment is a 10-minute walk via the north quays. The Lombard apartment at Grand Canal Dock is 12 minutes via the Samuel Beckett Bridge. Jervis is 15 minutes; Temple Bar (Wellington Quay) is 18 minutes.

Why book an apartment instead of a CCD hotel? +

For a single-night conference visit a hotel makes sense — but for a 3-day conference plus the surrounding nights, an apartment with a kitchen, washer/dryer and dedicated workspace is significantly more comfortable. Spencer Dock hotels also routinely double their rates during major conferences and sell out months ahead; our rates don't move.

Can I host a small client meeting in my apartment? +

Most EirStay apartments comfortably seat 4–6 around the dining table, which works well for client meetings of that size. For larger groups we recommend booking a meeting room at the CCD or a nearby hotel.

How close is the CCD to the IFSC? +

The CCD sits on the edge of the IFSC — most IFSC offices are a 5–10 minute walk. For corporate guests combining a conference with client meetings in the financial district, our north-quays and Grand Canal apartments are ideal.

What is the closest Luas to the Convention Centre? +

The Luas Red Line stops at Spencer Dock, two minutes' walk from the CCD entrance. The Red Line takes you to Heuston Station, the south-west, and Connolly Station for the DART and intercity rail.

Is the CCD walking distance to Trinity College and the Dublin 2 business district? +

Yes — the CCD is about 15 minutes' walk from Trinity College via the south quays. From any of our nearby apartments you can comfortably combine a conference at the CCD with meetings around Trinity, Grafton Street or Government Buildings without needing taxis.
