How EirStay handles enquiry and contact information

Information we use

When you make an enquiry, we use the contact details, stay requirements and message you submit to respond, assess availability and manage the resulting enquiry or booking. We may link previous enquiries and bookings that use the exact same email address so our restricted administration team can understand past contact.

Email ownership verification

We may email you a time-limited link to confirm that you can access the address supplied. This verifies ownership of the email address only. It does not verify your identity, approve a booking or prove that past contacts using the address came from the same person.

Submission IP address

We may retain the network IP address associated with an enquiry for up to 30 days for abuse and security investigation. An IP address is a limited network signal, not a precise location or proof of identity; VPNs and mobile networks may change or obscure it. We do not promise or rely on external geolocation for this process.

Checks and access

Access to contact verification information is restricted to authorised administrators. Staff may open manual public searches for a submitted name or email address. Search results are unverified, are not a background check, and are not used for automated profiling or automated decisions.

Your choices and rights

You may ask about the personal information we hold, request correction or deletion where applicable, object to or restrict certain processing, or raise a privacy concern. Legal rights can depend on the circumstances and applicable retention obligations.
